After sixteen years, director Guy Ritchie (AladdinThe Gentleman) and Jason Statham (Hobbs and Shaw; The Meg) have finally reunited for the action thriller Wrath of Man, which will see the latter play a mysterious and extremely dangerous individual that's out to settle a major score.

Further details are currently unavailable, but the film is based on the 2004 French film Cash Truck. It will be the fourth directorial collaboration between Ritchie and Statham, following Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, Snatch in 2000, and Revolver in 2005.

In addition to Statham as the leading man, the cast also features Scott Eastwood (The Fate of the Furious; Pacific Rim: Uprising), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter; Nightmare Alley), Josh Hartnett (Most WantedLucky Number Slevin), Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice; Fargo), Laz Alonso (The Boys; Fast & Furious), Raúl Castillo (Knives Out; Army of the Dead), Post Malone (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseSpenser Confidential), Chris Reilly (Allied; The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), and Niamh Algar (Raised by WolvesCensor).

This is the first of two upcoming Ritchie/Statham collaborations, as the duo are also currently filming an upcoming spy film titled Five Eyes, which will co-star Aubrey Plaza (LegionParks and Recreation).

Wrath of Man is set to hit theaters on May 7.

A mysterious and wild-eyed new cash truck security guard (Jason Statham) surprises his coworkers during a heist in which he unexpectedly unleashes precision skills. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman’s ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

It ain't a true blue Ritchie film if there's not some kind of "score" or something isn't being "settled"

Almost doesn't quite look like a Guy Ritchie film, but looks darn cool. And his last collaboration with Statham was less-than-conventional, so this looks particularly cool.

@MosquitoFarmer - it's because it's a remake

@dirtyscore - Ah, didn't know that. Still interested, but makes me want to look into the French film prior.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. wasn't an original idea, but I think that's an underrated fun one from Ritchie.

Looks a bit generic to me but hope it's good.
Rewatched Homeland starring the Stath recently, a good solid action movie

Still waiting for my Jason Statham and Scott Adkins team up TV show, where they solve crime with their fists

Looks good. Might be generic and simple but still looks like a good, solid B action film.

Statham is at his best with Ritchie. It does look a little generic, but I'm sure there will be some twists.

It looks fun, I'm down for that. Trailer revealed a bit too much, though.

This could be entertaining but I was hoping for something like The Gentlemen which I believe is Ritchie best movie.
