The Tony Stark/Iron Man in Cyrstal Dynamics upcoming game, Marvel's Avengers, may not be the one we got to know in the MCU, but he's still got genius-level intellect, witty remarks, and some badass suits.

After releasing a character profile for Captain America in Marvel's Avengers, developer Crystal Dynamics is now putting the spotlight on two other Avengers: Tony Stark/Iron Man and Bruce Banner/Hulk. Both characters received spotlight teaser trailers that showcase multiple outfits and some gameplay snippets.

As a reminder, the characters seen in Marvel's Avengers are not modeled after the ones we've gotten to know on the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is its own standalone story with versions of the characters thought up by Crystal Dynamics in tandem with Marvel.

So the Tony Stark and Bruce Banner we see in the game will not be the same as the characters brought to life by Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo. That said, Crystal Dynamics has assembled its own superstar cast, including Troy Baker and Nolan North — two of the gaming industry's biggest voice actors — as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Tony Stark/Iron Man, respectively.

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Marvel's Avengers assembles on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020.

Again, we don't need a reminder that these aren't the MCU versions of the characters.

They already reminded us of that themselves by picking the exact MCU lineup (which includes neglecting Hawkeye), and then blaming fans for making the obvious comparison.

All that aside, I have been warming up to the game recently.

It's fine if they wanted to pick the MCU characters for the game. I just hate how it seems like they didn't expect comparisons to be made.

@Kurne It's not the exact 2012 lineup though as you can play as other characters like Hank Pym. Fans were so stupid to expect these characters to look exactly like their MCU counterparts.

I'm good with the change in looks, but still hoping they have some different skins. Cap 8s my favorite but hate the outfit they came up with for this. Looks like bad cosplay or someone painted their Army issued gear Red, White, and Blue.

@Nightwing1015

The more ridiculous fan expectation are those morons who are complaining about not getting RDJ, Evans and co. to do the voices, as if that wouldn't take up half the damn game budget.

The people who want the MCU actors are the same ones that aren't trying to pay $90 for just the base game. RDJ probably made more than this studios budget just for being in IW and Homecoming lol
