Well, this could be controversial! Among set photos of Batman and a character we're assuming is Catwoman is a first look at what appears to be the Dark Knight's gun holster. Check them out after the jump!

The Batman is still shooting in Liverpool, England, and while production is expected to move to Chicago in the coming weeks, we now have more great photos - and a video - from the movie's UK set.

As you can see below, Robert Pattinson's stuntman was spotted suited up and riding a motorcycle alongside a leather-clad female stuntwoman it's believed was filling in for Zoe Kravitz. The Bat and Cat racing into action together is something we first saw earlier this year when shooting was taking place in Edinburgh, Scotland, so this could be part of the same sequence.

Something that's really grabbed the attention of fans, though, is the fact that Batman appears to have a gun holster. Now, it's possible that's where he keeps his grappling gun, but it looks an awful lot like a regular handgun, and that would be a controversial direction to take things in.

We shouldn't jump the gun (no pun intended), but it's clear Matt Reeves is planning to really shake the Caped Crusader's world up in The Batman when it's finally released in April 2022.

Check out these new photos, and a set video, below:

Well there's a few options. It could be a grapple gun, which is most likely. It could be a tracer gun that he can fire tracers from. It could be a real gun. But he used one in Year Two, and in the Golden Age for a bit. So as a not yet seasoned Batman, a gun wouldn't be out of place. But I'm willing to bet it's just the grapple gun

Eh. Most likely the grappling gun.
What I'm really not liking here is the suit design. It feels overly busy. I hope this is just his first suit and he gets a new one later on.

@SnideCut - I thought the same initially but at least in the trailer it really does seem a lot more cohesive in the actual movie so hopefully that is the case

more i see the suit, the more I like it, a lot of small details. Seems like what the Gotham finale suit was going for, but lacked the budget needed to pull it off.

We all know its most likely grapple gun, but lets go with the clickbait

1-Stuntman looking better than Robert in the suit.
2-Suit looking good, but why all black? why?
3-Gun could be a grappling gun.
4-Even if it isn't, even if Batman kills? As long as it serves the story well, as long as Earth Prime comic book Batman does not kill, I don't care.

@Fares - black makes more sense for stealth. Yes, in terms of urban camouflage they encourage a mix of grey and black, but thats under the assumption you're wearing street clothes (you'll look suspicious walking around in all black). Batman will already be suffering from this suspicion since he's dressed as a giant bat.

@Origame - Sure if we're going for practicality over aesthetic, that makes sense. But I don't like my superhero suits to prioritize practicality that much. Besides, Bats runs around with a kid dressed in red and green most of the time. Safe to say that defeats the purpose.
