Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) is set to fly into theaters this Friday, and two new clips from Cathy Yan's R-rated girl-gang movie have now found their way online.

The first serves as an introduction to Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), as the powerful songstress belts out "It's a Man's World" at Black Mask's (Ewan McGregor) club while the villainous host ensures the clientele are well watered. We also get to witness Dinah's shattering (literally) abilities in action when she hits the high notes.

The second sneak peak is an extended version of a scene from the latest trailer, as Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) somewhat unconvincingly denies having rage issues.

Check out the clips below along with the social media reactions, and let us know what you think. Do you plan on seeing Birds of Prey this weekend?

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I wanna say it’s that whole “clips released outside of the context of the film can be weird” thing but the clip on its own is kind of cringe

Yeah, female just empowerment! Black Canary is a lounge singer! Woo hoo!

Got love that source material!

Of course she’s also a black belt .. she just sings for Black Mask to make ends meet..

We all know if it wasn’t for Harley in the comics.. Dinah wouldn’t have ever bc a hero... thank goodness for Harley... what would we do with out her?

We would be lost...

Gotta say tho, i can already see that Ewan McGregor will kill it.

@Doomsday8888 - The only clip I've really enjoyed was the one with Ewan McGregor and a captured Harley. He's all in on what looks to be an over-the-top performance and yet is easily selling it.

By comparison, this clip of the Huntress just doesn't really work at all. Maybe in context it does, with the right build up, but not isolated like this.

Gotta give it a chance, every movie deserves that. But we're seeing a decent amount of footage lately and these clips aren't proving the film to be anything I wasn't expecting and I'm still getting STRONG Suicide Squad vibes. Ewan McGregor being awesome as usual is like the only guarantee I'm seeing so far.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - I honestly respect your opinion, but I disagree. Not every movie deserves a chance. I STILL have yet to watch Venom, and I won’t EVER EVER watch it. Not on TV, not on an airplane, not even on the tiny screen while pumping gas. Why? Bc it doesn’t deserve it, just like Morbius won’t either.

It’s not about the actors or the director or even the final product. What?!? Yep, it doesn’t even matter if the movies any good. Your money speak much much louder than any reviews ever will. When you financially support bad decisions you in turn get more bad decisions.

I love Orangutans, and as such I don’t buy tons of food that I LOVE and used to eat all the time. Why? Bc they use Palm oil that’s sourced from Thailand and is slowly killing off the entire Orangutan population.

I grew up reading comics, I LOVE where we are in the cinematic comic stage. But if we want smarter better decisions and movies, ESPECIALLY from studios with a less than stellar record, tough choices need to be made.

I like Batman, I watch Batman movies.. I’ll even watch a Suicide Squad movie .. I won’t .. haven’t and will never watch a Joker movie.. let alone one disconnected from source material and the greater cinematic universe that’s struggling to even stay afloat.

I like SW, I’ll watch movies about Jedis and Sith or even shows about a Mandolorian when done right, but I haven’t and won’t pay to go watch something like ROS bc it shets all over everything that came before it. Fan service or not. I can’t support that, and I won’t.

So to each his own, in all honestly, choices like the ones I make probably don’t do much it anything all all. Those types of decisions only work when they are cumulative, and are done in large numbers.

Until then we’ll keep getting what we getting bc ppl apparently have no taste
