Some more photos from the set of Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have been shared online, and this time we get a look at Letitia Wright's (Shuri) stunt double shooting a scene on a motorcycle.

As production continues on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in Cambridge, Massachusetts, more photos from the set have found their way online, and it looks like Shuri is going to be seeing some action in the MCU sequel.

Though the rider's face is obscured, Just Jared indicates that the individual on the motorcycle is Letitia Wright's stunt double, while the red Dodge Charger is reportedly being driven by Danai Gurira's (Okoye) stand-in.

We don't have much context for what's being filmed, but it is said to be a "stunt chase sequence," so we can probably assume that Shuri and Okoye haven't decided to have a street race out of the blue and are, in fact, facing some kind of threat here.

Wright was hospitalized after sustaining minor injuries while performing a stunt, so there's a decent chance it was for this very scene.

We still don't know a whole lot about the Marvel sequel, but Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away last August after a 4-year battle with colon cancer, will not be replaced as T'Challa or "resurrected" via CGI. Shuri is the favorite to take up the mantle of Black Panther, but some would prefer to see Winston Duke's M'Baku honor his old foe-turned-ally by assuming the responsibility of Wakanda's protector .

A rumor that Narcos Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta will play Namor in the movie recently did the rounds, but that obviously remains to be seen.

Marvel Studios announced that the highly-anticipated sequel will be titled Wakanda Forever during a recent Phase 4 preview. Specific plot details remain under wraps, but a brief logline tells us that "Wakanda Forever will continue to explore the incomparable world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film."

Was totally expecting to see the same dude that was Robert Pattinson‘s and Ben Affleck‘s motorcycle stunt double.

Disappointed.

Why so much action sequences for the Princess? Surely she isn't taking the mantle of Black Panther?? Train her well Okoye.

@SonOfAGif - she’s literally the only one who should get the mantle. It’s comic accurate

@SonOfAGif - The color code is very strong with this scene. lol

They had to find them a blue bike and a red car to keep up with the colors they are wearing.

@SonOfAGif - In the first one, she was completely out of the action as the Q to her superhero brother until the civil war where she was mainly shooting with her arms while the others were fighting much more physically.

Now, suddenly, she is Tom Cruise on a bike.

That's probably why they are introducing Riri Williams in this movie, to act as her Q this time while she is busy doing the action stuff.

I don't foresee this movie introducing a new major hero as a protagonist for this one. I think it's going to very much be Okoye, Nakia, Shuri and M'Baku stepping into fill the void and maybe one or 2 other Wakandans along with Ross as the secondary characters supporting them. I have no idea how that's going to fully work but I know Coogler is capable of handling the challenge

@OmegaDaGrodd - although I kinda wanna see Kasper Cole, I hope the next Black Panther will be an original character. But I too doubt they'll be introducing a new character

Damn… they’re really gonna make her the new Black Panther. I get that it’s comic accurate and perhaps if the character was done better in the last film I could buy it but otherwise - lol

@TheLobster - I believe Feige has spoken of his love of this fight sequence & then immediately puts Okoye in avengers... So here's hoping for more Okoye Love.

I reckon it'll be a team of Black Panthers. Everyone's pleased?
TheLobster
TheLobster - 8/27/2021, 3:54 PM
@nmasterofnaught - I think you’re maybe right.. Feige knows it’s a lose lose if they give Shuri alone the mantle. A lot of people will be stoked but a lot of people will hate it.

However, if they have 2-3 then they’re not only pleasing everyone but they have much more to explore for many more films to come.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SHURI AS THE NEW BLACK PANTHER, SHE WAS GREAT IN THE FIRST FILM
Amuro
Amuro - 8/26/2021, 12:42 PM
@MILESSPIDERMAN -

I liked her in the first one but her role will be massively different from the little sister genius archetype she was portraying back then, with no time to make her character grow before she eventually takes over from her brother.

Things would have been different if she had the time to grow in the span of several films before becoming Black Panther as an full-fledged adult. Here, she is barely out of her teens in-universe (Letitia Wright is almost a decade older than her character though).
