Didn't Cavill just recently say that he is willing to reprise the role if WB asks him to?

Ryan Reynolds was always a terrible choice for Hal Jordan. The second they cast him was the second I knew the people making the movie didn’t understand the character and probably his world. Made even worse by the fact the other contender was the perfect choice for the role (and future four time Oscar for acting nominee) Bradley Cooper.

@TheUnworthyThor - Bradley Cooper’s in the DC Universe now... as the producer of Joker lmao

@TheUnworthyThor - I agree 100% and thought the exact same thing. At the time Reynolds was talking about getting The Flash which would have been perfect for him. WB didn't have a Flash script ready but didn't want to miss out on putting "rising star Reynolds" in a film so they shoe-horned him into Green Lantern. Cooper as GL and Reynolds as The Flash could have been epic.

@nomis- Howard and RDJ chemistry was unrivaled imo and i love Cheadle but yea man .... dropped ball on that one .

Gone too soon? Most of those overstayed their welcome. That's saying something considering half of them only made one appearance.

@nomis yep they where actual friends and imagine if Howard was there for the end of EG with the pat on the head moment :( ...... yea that would've been rough one added on to the scene

It’s a real shame that Ed Norton is “hard to work with” because he really is a [frick]ing fantastic actor who I wish was in more movies. His new film got good, but not great, reviews out of Telluride, so hopefully he’s gonna be in more non voice-over roles coming up

How are some of these too soon? Tobey MacGuire had a trilogy. And some were just horrible (January Jones???), so it wasn't too soon by any measure. And why is this an article???

Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter - I know that we have one more appearance but I never did get enough of her.

Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler - one of the best Fox-men, sadly a one-shot appearance.

James Marden’s Cyclops - I liked him in the role, but they didn’t give him anything to do and barely scratched the surface.

Neal McDonough’s Dum Dum Dugan - the one member who makes me wish the Howling Commandos got a lot more to do.

Ron Perlman’s Hellboy - obviously needed at least one more.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Pietro Maximoff - the far more comic accurate of the Quicksilvers, I would have liked to have seen him be around to play off of Wanda as an Avenger (and hate on her budding relationship to the Vision.)

Gotta keep it to the heroes list, because the villain one would be long.

I actually liked Green Lantern

Ruffalo started out well, maybe as the best version of Banner yet in the first Avengers film. But...he's gradually overacted in the role with each movie and so much that it has become cringeworthy.
Look up HBK oversells to Hogan if you need a better visual of what I mean.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Pietro Maximoff was gone way too long. It would have been interesting to see the drama between Quicksilver and the developing relationship between Wanda and Vision.

Affleck was one of the worst ever to play Batman. His tenure was a complete waste of time and money.

Michelle Pfieffer was not Catwoman but a zombie that dressed up like a cat
Hathaway has given the definitive Catwoman and should be on the list.

January Jones was not a great Emma Frost. I agree the character was short-changed but she didn't nail it at all. I can see someone like Vanessa Kirby doing a far better job.

My favorite thing about Norton is that when he was at the roast of Bruce Willis (terrible roast) he said, about incredible hulk "I just wanted my superhero movie to be as good as the worst Christopher Nolan one"

Mark Strong's Sinestro should be #1 on this list. Even people who hated the movie wanted to see Strong in GL2.

Karl Urban as Dredd. Performance was RIGHT-ON! What ever happened to that Mega-City One TV show they were talkin about.

@Forthas - Agreed! Hathaway's relatively generic Catsuit, lack of iconic whip, and limited sexual tension scenes with Christian Bale, are reasons why she's so underrated, compared to Pfeiffer's Catwoman. But I appreciate that Hathaway's Selina Kyle got a complete character arc, and a happy ending. Writers haven't treated her nearly as well in the comics, in recent years.

Even though Affleck worked his @$$ off, and put his reputation on the line, I gotta agree. The Batfleck era was basically a waste of time. Other than anger despair, there wasn't much to him. An older Batman with no real legacy, isn't good enough.
