Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a long and visually pleasing journey of computer generated effects, whether that have been in the form of the dimensional travel sequence Strange and America Chavez both went on, or the monsters who were hounding them throughout the leg of their journey.

Gargantos, or you may remember this creature as the gigantic-eyed squid monster thing, started the plot of the film in revealing that Wanda Maximoff has been projecting her mind into other-worldy creatures in an attempt to pursue America Chavez to gain multiversal control.

Though that was Gargantos' only time in the spotlight, there has been some newly released concept art showing different eye colors the creative team almost considered using for the squid monster.

Created by concept artists Giorgio Iovino, Wanda Maximoff actress, Elizabeth Olsen, had her eyes scanned to assist in the process of creating Gargantos' signature giant one eye, to better in the process of making it believable that it was her mind in Gargantos' body all along.

As you can see, different colors and eye designs were created for the beast, even just sticking with Elizabeth Olsen's natural green eye-color.

Interestingly, the trailers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which gaves fans their first look at Gargantos revealed the creature's eye-color to initially be Elizabeth Olsen's natural green-color.

Why they changed it could have been due to the character already being green themselves, that it would have blended in much better throughout the scene.

Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse.
