Iron Man 3 massively exceeded expectations at the box office back in 2013, earning over $1.2 billion and scoring the acclaim of critics with a solid 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Shane Black took charge of the threequel after Jon Favreau decided to move on from the franchise and while it's fair to say that fans enjoyed this action-packed adventure for the Armored Avenger, there were some liberties taken with the source material which definitely upset a lot of people.

However, one thing everybody seemed to like is Tony Stark's new armour. The Mark XLII was the hero's most advanced suit to date at the time and while it was a departure from what came before, Iron Man looked downright amazing on screen.

Now, we have a gallery of rarely seen concept art from the Marvel Studios movie showcasing a number of alternate designs, some of which pay homage to the comic books and others that are pretty much unrecognisable (but still very, very cool).

And she says that she's open to cameos. That's basically all she's been doing since Iron Man 2.

completely dislike IM3 but that one too the left unless it's not black looks a lot like one of the stealth lines models which are some of my favorite .... that definitely could've been used when he raided the mansion instead of him running around like macgyver :(

Big iron man 3 fan though I wasn't a fan of most of the suits. I kinda think the suits not being his best work is kinda the point of his arc

I hated the Mark 42 when it was first revealed but it really grew on me. Also, I like how the 43 was the same armor with the colors swapped.
