Captain Marvel should have shown up at the end of Age Of Ultron, that actress looks like a much better choice.

@marvel72 - Pretty looking but that's it

@marvel72 - doubt she would have popped in just at the end if Whedon was choosing her... she would have been more central to the story and the small battle against Hydra and Ultron wouldn't even have happened as she could have overpowered them easily.

Good thing they scrapped that Thor ending. Loki is easily one of the best things to happen to the MCU.

@ModHaterSLADE - The last time Loki was any good was when Thor movies were still good, which was 13 years ago. TDW would've been a mid end for him to bite the dust, but holly shit is it better than what Ragnajoke onward had done to him, completely character assassinating him and turning him into some schmuck pushover with no previous qualities that made him standout.

@ModHaterSLADE - Loki became a sh1t character since Ragnarok, sorry. Which is ironic, since in the comics and in the myths Ragnarok is the story where Loki shines as the big bad and crucial part of that story. But in the MCU he was reduced to a third wheel pushover who has accidental relation to the so-called plot.

@ModHaterSLADE - yeesh. To each their own. But man, I got a disagree with you on that. Loki was great in the original Thor, peaked in Avengers, and has been going steadily downhill ever since. In my opinion, Loki would be the worst Disney plus show, if it weren't for what if?

@Izaizaiza - LOL! Worst? Whatever, to each their own as you say.

@ModHaterSLADE - not worst! Second, worst. What if is the worst. 🙂

Seriously, I know people love it. For me, it was just a parade of terrible/boring writing. I think the acting was mostly good, except for Sylvie. I hated that actress.

@Izaizaiza - Fair enough. I thought What If had some actually good episodes, with some that I'd like to see the basis for a live-action project one day, but different strokes.

@ModHaterSLADE - I did like the Doctor. Strange episode in the first season, but I actually hate that all the episodes are tied together. One thing I always loved about the original comic that they were one offs, taking one pivotal event from the comics and exploring what would happen if it went a different way. Way. This is more like the adventures of a different universe. That's not why. I think it's the worst show though. Mostly just a lot of unfunny self-referential jokes.

And yes, I'm a grumpy old opinionated son of a bitch 🙂

I heard that the ending of The Marvels was being changed to include an incursion.

I was so fuggin hyped when I heard that. One character falling through a tear in space time and ending up in another universe is not what I thought they meant by 'incursion'. Thought it would be much more epic and would blow you all away.

Also, wasn't Ant Man supposed to die in Quantumania, not merely get stranded? Isn't this known?

I think not.

Honestly, Cap Marvel being introduced at end of AOU might've worked. You could've introduced both her and Wanda no issue.

Never been a huge fan of Carol but I think she fits better in a team dynamic than on her own sometimes. Toss her into Civil War and you have another, different voice. Give her the NASA origin, sprinkle it in and expound on it in a solo film.

Earth 199999.
No one seriously considers the MCU to be 616.
Izaizaiza
Izaizaiza - 2/29/2024, 4:26 PM
@BritishMonkey - agreed. It doesn't make any sense for the MCU to be the 616 reality, is the comics are already confirmed to be the 616 reality, and they are different than the MCU. 🤷🏻‍♂️

>There's no way Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War were going to look the same after these plot developments.

The only difference is that in Age of Ultron Thor might've went to Asgard to seek answer instead of some random cave, which I think is way more interesting.

With Ragnarok they might've actually tried to make a good movie, but I doubt, since Hemsworth would still be clamoring to get his buddy Taika haired so that they both could inflict an irreparable brain damage on Thor by the name of ''comedy''.

And Infinity War wouldn't change a bit. You just have Thanos attack Asgard instead of some ship with Asgard's leftovers on it. Would've made him way more intimidating if he [frick]ed up an entire realm instead of just some floating trash can with some aliens on it.
