Logan Marshall-Green already appeared in the MCU as the Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it looks like the actor has now set his sights on DC, as he's campaigning to play Mister Miracle in New Gods.

Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, The Invitation) is a big comic book fan, and it looks like the actor is eager to jump back in the CBM world after appearing as the first incarnation of the Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming - only this time it's a DC character that's caught his eye.

The Upgrade star took to Twitter to directly campaign to play his favourite DC character Mister Miracle in the New Gods movie, tagging director Ava DuVernay while he was at it.

Though it is rare enough to see anyone actually land a role in this manner, a large swell of fan-support is a sure-fire way to at least get noticed, so it's definitely worth a shot.

What do you guys think? Could you see Logan Marshall-Green as Scott Free, a.k.a. Mister Miracle? Sound off below.

I don't see it, but gotta credit him for taking initiative. I enjoyed his version of Shocker, wish he could've stuck around longer.

Still don't quite understand the decision to have both Shockers in Homecoming, but I enjoyed them for what they were.

@L0RDbuckethead - wish they killed the other shocker instead, only cause I am not a bokeem fan

@ComicKahn - I would have much preferred him as Tombstone. On voice alone, dude nails it.

@Spock0Clock - Bokeem or Logan?
L0RDbuckethead
L0RDbuckethead - 7/24/2018, 3:53 PM
@ComicKahn - Yeah, Bokeem should've been a different character, or they should've cast someone instead as "random Vulture thug #2".

They felt shoe-horned in.

PS - you username is dope

@L0RDbuckethead - another example of why Homecoming was a wasted opportunity for the first MCU Spiderman film. They cast two great actors as the Shocker and wasted them completely. And they didn’t resemble the character or do anything interesting in any way. Why include the character twice if he’s not gonna be recognisable? Look at that new PS4 Spiderman game. That’s what the villains could be while still remaining grounded and tech-based, which the MCU is mad about.

The Shocker and Chameleon are probably my least favourite Spidey villains but still, if you’re gonna do it, do it well.

Same goes for Vulture. Keaton was great but that character had so much potential for great action and visuals and he was pretty forgettable in those aspects.
Logan Marshall-Green was so good in The Invitation.

@L0RDbuckethead - the 2 shockers thing was really not a good decision lol.
Thanks

@ComicKahn - ...What kind of question is that...?

@connorblaze - Totally agree man. It was a definite wasted opportunity in some aspects, but I thought it was a great introduction to a character that's already been done countless times. They made a safe film that was pretty much a guaranteed hit for them, while also including the things they need to service the overall story (Civil War) and throwing in a few (too many) things from the Ultimate universe so they would avoid being too similar to the Raimi and ASM series.

@Spock0Clock - a clarification question, you never know lol

After seeing "The Invitation" I can definitely see him in a bigger CBM role. Still need to see Upgrade.

@Joemanimator - Upgrade is amazing, and so is he. He'd make a great wolverine if he wasn't already in Spider-Man.

@JoeMomma29 - It was really solid. I was really impressed by the fight choreography and camera work.

What surprised me most was its budget. I saw the movie and thought it must’ve cost $30-$40 million to made. It only cost 1/10th of that.

Ehhhhh! I really want to see Mr. Miracle but that is a role that needs some great range of acting chops IMO!

By the way the latest Mr. Miracle comics were amazing! Right @blackandyellow

@JoeMomma29 - Idk. Depends on who you ask.

Selma was fine imo. A solid effort. I am looking forward to her next film due to the cast and story, Central Park 5.

I love Ava's show Queen Sugar. Great show. I just cant see how she fits New Gods.

When i think New Gods, I think Del Toro maybe.

@BlackBeltJones - After years of pulling my hair out about Snyder and with Ayer still in circulation, I just can't get up the energy to complain about DuVernay right now...
