BLACK PANTHER Star Michael B. Jordan Calls STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS "My Worst Audition To Date"

Black Panther and Without Remorse star Michael B. Jordan has revealed that he auditioned for the role of Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but says he completely botched it in front of J.J. Abrams...

Michael B. Jordan is one of the most talented actors working today, but he's only appeared in a handful of blockbusters, including Fantastic Four and Black Panther. However, he very nearly ended up heading to a Galaxy Far, Far Away in 2015's Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The actor first mentioned trying out for a role in the movie back in 2013, but has finally opened up about what went wrong for him. While he would have no doubt made an awesome Finn, it seems Jordan failed to stick the landing during his audition (the part ultimately went to John Boyega).

"I think it was I couldn’t wrap my brain around some of the sides because you know when you’re reading for these high-level projects, there’s never really any specificity in the sides," the actor explained in an interview with Variety. "Everything’s like super vague; everything is in secret. Reading through, I just couldn’t connect it. I definitely bombed that one for sure."

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland is another actor who has admitted failing miserably while trying out for the role of Finn (primarily because his scene partner was pretending to be a droid).

Boyega clearly did something right, but sadly ended up being wasted in the Star Wars sequels for the most part. As for Jordan, he may have hit a bump in the road with Fantastic Four, but has since redeemed himself with a number of incredible performances across several different genres.

Among them is Without Remorse, and in our review, we concluded by noting "Despite hitting a few too many familiar beats, Without Remorse is elevated by Michael B. Jordan and lays the groundwork for what could be a must-see new action franchise. Now, bring on a team-up with John Krasinski's Jack Ryan."

Would you have enjoyed seeing Jordan head into a Galaxy Far, Far Away?
