UPDATE: New Character Banners For STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS Unveiled

As well as a more complete shot of Jim Kirk (Chris Pine), three new character posters for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness have been released, featuring new looks at Carol Marcus (Alice Eve), Bones (Karl Urban), Sulu (John Cho), and Scotty (Simon Pegg).

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve and Anton Yelchin. The film is set to hit theaters May 17th.

The entire series of posters from start to finish for the 2009 film were amazing.

Into Darkness' have been kinda okay to bad.

Futurepast are you f*cking serious? I come on here to read about Star Trek and I'm hit with Iron Man 3 spoilers. Get a life man. Right now I'm picturing you as someone resembling that dude playing World of Warcraft killing everyone in that episode of South Park. Pathetic.

I'm not seeing a lot of Chekov in the promotion for this film. The fact he's been spotted in the trailer wearing a red shirt makes me worry for his safety! That being said, I haven't seen a Scotty poster yet either. Digging the Bones one though. Bones is the man.
