MADAME WEB Concept Art Reveals Best Look Yet At Costumes Worn By Araña And Ezekiel Sims

Madame Web made a great many missteps, but most fans can agree the costumes worked. It's a shame they only got a minute or two of screentime, of course, and we're hoping Sony Pictures' will figure out that audiences want to see these heroes in action the first time they see them, not somewhere down the line.

Today, Imogene Chayes has shared her final pieces for the critically panned Marvel Comics adaptation - you can see the rest here - and there's really no faulting what the concept artist brought to the table.

"It's our last gal! Concept art for Anya Corazon played by the prolific [Isabala Merced] (who I happen to be working with on her current project [,The Last of Us])," Chayes said on Instagram. "Ngila Dickson again wanted it to be bold and graphic. Since, as many of you have correctly pointed out, they’re on screen for such a short time we wanted to make sure these suits had an impact!"

As well as Araña, we also have a closer look at the costume Ezekiel Sims wears. Despite being inspired by the las arañas (spider people) in the Amazon, the similarities to Spider-Man are undeniable.

"Last one and that’s a wrap on [Madame Web] concept art week!" Chayes notes. "Here’s our concept art for Ezekiel Sims played by [Tahar Rahim]. Plotting out these intricate style lines was a doozy but very satisfying. Costume designer Ngila Dickson wanted them to evoke a binding effect."

After a rough couple of weeks at the box office, Madame Web is unlikely to get a sequel. There's a chance these characters will appear elsewhere, but if they're not contracted to do so, chances are the actors will want to move on from their Marvel debuts as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, in another universe...In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing's most enigmatic heroines.

The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures...if they can all survive a deadly present.

The movie stars Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.

Madame Web is now playing in theaters worldwide.

99% of the movie has no suits. Why even make this?! We're they expecting to make a garbage origin movie and pull out all the stops for the sequel? From the producers to the writers and directors.. morons

I think that Ezekiel's suit is actually a pretty cool looking design for a dark twist on Spider-Man. It's too bad the movie was utter trash though, and tge actor's performance is lackluster.
