Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to swing into theaters this week, and the latest box office projections are now in. The movie was always expected to perform well, but it might just hit $300M worldwide!

Spider-Man: No Way Home is finally set to swing into theaters this weekend (tomorrow in The UK and several other locations), and the latest box office tracking points to an amazing debut at the global box office.

According to Deadline, the Sony Pictures threequel is expected to web-up between $160 million and $180 million overseas, and at least $120 million in The US, which could bring its worldwide total to $300M. Of course, renewed concern over the Omicron variant of COVID-19 means accurate predictions are difficult, but with the movie setting a new record for ticket pre-sales, most analysts seem to think $290M+ is highly likely.

This is obviously a very encouraging sign, and some believe No Way Home could become the first "pandemic era" movie to cross $1 billion - and do so without a China release!

The review embargo lifted late last night, and the movie was holding strong on Rotten Tomatoes at 100% until it slipped to 97% earlier this evening. I was lucky enough to catch a screening today, and while my review won't be finished until tomorrow, you can check out my reaction below.

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

The MCU and Spider-man. A terrifying combo.

With this and talks of a second trilogy, I hope they keep the momentum going and have Spider-Man take Star wars's place of being the Holiday blockbuster.

Just think: if Eternals had actually turned out to be a good movie, the box office would be even higher. Though a win is a win, I guess.

These are insane numbers, especially during a pandemic.

If these were normal times, this legitimately could've stood a chance to match Endgame's OW box office.

Is it just me, or has this site been unbearably frustrating the past week or so? Ever since the Edit button (which is gone now), commenting here is all over the place.

Fix this ish, it's Spider-Man season.

@KWilly - Might be a blessing in disguise. Box office and review articles might bring out the worst since MCU Spider-man is such a point of contention for the comments section.

@KWilly - You're not wrong. I'm on an android and the site has been really glitchy this week, although I didn't notice the edit button disappeared until you mentioned it. Any word on why?

@KWilly - the report Comment button was broken this weekend when xxx fanfiction was cannibalizing the comments.

My most anticipated Spidey flick ever next to Spider-Verse 2.

I only teared up for two MCU films. The first Avengers when that circle shot blessed the screen and the second in Endgame with every hero charging into battle. My childhood in live action. And I think #3 will be No Way Home. Seeing a live action Spider-verse just like the Animated series episode might get me.

I'd be more incline to watch this movie if Tom Holland wasn't in it.
