The TMNT IP is one of the few non DC or Marvel IPs that could really be a big universe The entire IDW run is great and would be awesome in live action. I just want a TMNT movie filmed like a PG-13 The Raid.

@Pitydafool - Nickelodeon who currently own TMNT and Netflix recently signed a big deal. I'd love a big budget live action Turtles series based on IDW on Netflix.

@FleischerSupes - same. I know there was been a dude writing the next feature for like the past 24 months. So hopefully soon we'll get some news

I just feel when you look at the success of the most successful versions of the turtles is when they are played more seriously. With John Wick and The Raid I feel you could make a killer TMNT movie like that but PG 13

I remember being a kid at the peak of turtle-mania and when the movie came out. Oh man good times

@campblood - re-watching the first one , you realize how good it actually was and a bit more mature than i remembered .

@knocturnalzen10 - that’s the reason i’m not a fan of 2 and 3 . Parents complained about the first one so they don’t use their weapons and the tone changed to more kid friendly

@knocturnalzen10 - Short version: His consciousness was transferred to a robot body, they cloned him a new body and restored him to normal.

The IDW comics are easily the best incarnation of TMNT to date.

I’m glad they were able to bring Donatello back. His beating was depressing.

For years I was saying that I want a real gritty version of the original comic in movie form. it took me years to realize the original 89 movie was as close and you can get. funny how that works.

@Capfan82 - they should do a "netflix-esque" TMNT ....dark and gritty like the 89 movie.
