The wait for Amazon Prime's hit animated series Invincible Season 2 is slowly, but surely, well on its way to deliver a strong continuation to the show this coming October, following an enjoyably brutal, gory, and enticing first season

Invincible Season 1 introduced a plethora of unique super-powered beings ranging from superior powers and abilities derived from the comics, most notable in Omni-man, who righteously served as the series first main antagonist.

Now, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman, teases the coming of Invincible's next formidable foe for the second season in an interview with Inverse, and readers of the Invincible comic series truly have something spectacular to look forward to:

“Some large or small aspect of Season 2 focuses on the Angstrom Levy character, - Robert Kirkman, Inverse

“He'll be a new villain that comes into the series. And if you've read the comics, you're aware of who he is and what his deal is. He's a villain that has access to multiple dimensions, and so it's another one of those dang multiverse things.” - Robert Kirkman, Inverse

In the pages of the Invincible comic books, Angstrom Levy develops multiversal and dimensional travel abilities, after an accident occurs which he blames Invincible for, following the two super-powered beings forming a strong hatred for one another.

“We do things in a different way [than the comics], so there's a little bit of a unique flavor to what we're doing,” - Robert Kirkman, Inverse

Kirkman teases a departure of the character's storytelling for the coing second season, setting in true anticipation for how this character can and will be adapted for the animated series.

Aside from a teaser trailer made about Season 2's current production rate at the time released a few months back, no following details have been made considering the series nearing its October release date.

About Invincible:

Seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson is just like every guy his age, except that his father is Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. As Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father's legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

This was an amazing show. Never read the source material, but I have to say that I was impressed by it. Can't wait for season 2.

Does everything have to evolve around the multiverse these days? Seems like an easy way to create false tension and then say, oh so and so didn't really die....here is their alternate! Back in the day they use to use the it was all a dream schtick and it looks like this has replaced it now lol!

@Kadara - These studios are running out of innovative fresh ideas, so they copy and paste what is currently trending in pop culture media in their own image.

@JonathanDan - Oh definitely agree with you on this. I find it funny the writers are currently on strike demanding more compensation and are worried about AI replacement when all they do these is copy and paste lol!!

@JonathanDan @Kadara - The show isn't copy pastaing, it's just the next thing that happens in the books that hasn't happened yet.

@Reeds2Much - I was speaking in general regarding the storylines I've been seeing in current media. But fair enough, thanks for letting me know, I am eagerly looking forward to this. At the very least it'd justify why I am still paying for Prime while never watching it lol!
