Ezra Miller played the villainous D.A. Sinclair in Invincible season 1, but when the character returned in the show's latest episode, it was with a different actor bringing him to life. Check it out...

Ezra Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, was on the cusp of becoming one of Hollywood's biggest stars not too ago. As well as playing the DC Extended Universe's Flash in Justice League, Miller had landed a key role in the Fantastic Beasts franchise; however, their career appears to be as good as over.

Following a string of arrests and shocking allegations, Miller was dropped from the Wizarding World (despite being set up as Albus Dumbledore's secret bother) and isn't expected to reprise the role of Barry Allen after The Flash bombed last summer.

Now, Miller has lost another role.

The actor lent his voice D.A. Sinclair in Invincible season 1, but you'll have likely noticed that the insane scientist who murders humans and transforms them into robotic ReAnimen sounds a little different in this week's episode.

The villain appears during a nightmare sequence in "I'm Not Going Anywhere" but is instead voiced by X-Men '97 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star Eric Bauza.

It's hardly a surprise that Miller wasn't asked to reprise his role in Invincible season 2, especially following years of accusations of assault, abuse, and grooming children, as well as arrests for alleged disorderly conduct and harassment.

Miller apologised in 2022 and vowed to get help for "complex mental issues," prompting Warner Bros. to stick by the actor while promoting The Flash. The studio invested a lot of money in the greatest one of the most expensive comic book movies ever made, but Miller was clearly still a turn-off for many moviegoers based on those all-important box office numbers (the studio consistently came under fire for acting as if nothing had happened).

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age - except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.

Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in season 1, season 2 sees Mark struggle to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear - that he might become his father without even knowing it.

Invincible stars Steven Yeun, with Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons.

The executive producers are Kirkman, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, and the co-executive producers are Helen Leigh and Walker.

I was on a flight during the episode and it wasn't showing me who was voicing each scene but I definitely was curious. No big loss on him in this role anyway. Was a great episode though

Groomed kids, broke into people's houses, but no- it's the evil pronouns that are the issue.

Get f#cked.

@DrReedRichards - it's weird how the writer goes straight to using pronouns for no reason right?

I'd say it makes you think, but there's really nothing to think of. It just states the obvious.

If there's one silver lining in this dreaded alt-right rise, it's that it made idiots like this be more blatant and confident in their stupidity.

Skill is the line that separates arrogance from confidence, and what I've seen here couldn't be further from the latter.

@JobinJ - ah yes, because laughing at someone being different makes you so much better than them. Lacking empathy is also a mental health disorder just so you know.

bkmeijer1 - 3/30/2024, 6:56 PM
@DrReedRichards - good point. Maybe it's the ability to dare question everything I admire instead. It's ballsy, but arrogant nonetheless (and arrogance I don't like)
DrReedRichards
DrReedRichards - 3/30/2024, 7:00 PM
@bkmeijer1 -

Respectfully, there is nothing ballsy about stupidity.

To be ballsy, to be brave, requires the ability to judge a situation and have the courage to go forward despite the odds.

These people are not ballsy. They just don't know any better.

bkmeijer1 - 3/30/2024, 7:06 PM
@DrReedRichards - again, good point. It did wanna say in my previous comment they're still ignorant, because for knowing how 10 things works there a 1000 unknowns. Guess that lines up with what you're saying.

Guess I'm proving my own point even. I think I know how those people's logic work and applaud them for it, but you keep pointing out flaws. Ignorance truly is bliss.

DrReedRichards - 3/30/2024, 7:16 PM
@bkmeijer1 -

No worries, I totally get what you mean. I just cannot overstate the emphasis of establishing just how pathetic, miserable, and all around inferior those people are. Mind you, I'm using "people" way too generally here.

I learned from a very young age the difference in psychological weight between telling someone that they did something wrong ad telling them that they are wrong. And these parasites simply are wrong, by nature.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/31/2024, 3:31 AM
@DrReedRichards - oh yeah. Think telling them how they are wrong has some quite psychological weight too. That is if they consider it at all, which some definitely don't. Ignorance is bliss, but wilful ignorance is just plain stupid.
DrReedRichards
DrReedRichards - 3/31/2024, 6:48 AM
@bkmeijer1 -

You're right, that's probably on me for poor phrasing.

When I say they are are wrong, I'm not saying they are wrong for thinking like that. What I'm saying is that these people are conceived and born to be errors themselves since their first breath. Since conception, even. Bred to be mistakes since since birth. They are wrong at their core. Not at their thoughts.

They do not MAKE errors, faults, or mistakes. They genuinely ARE errors, faults, and mistakes themselves.

I hope that makes the weight of this insult more clear.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/31/2024, 7:04 AM
@DrReedRichards - wan't really poor phrasing, I just kinda wanted to add my own take.

And yeah, saying they are a mistake rather than just making a mistake is definitely more insulting. Doubt those stuck in their own worldview will even mind though, since that just reinforces their own worldview (to them, it's you saying ''you're right'' in a twisted way)

If you think that stating there is only two sexes and genders (they are the same) is alt-right then science and biology are alt-right in your crazy world.

Also, have you been ignoring all the trans mass shooters as of late? Read more news than buzz feed and NowThis, my friend.

The difference between sex as a genetic attribute and gender as a social construct is a whole other conversation. What I pointed out in my initial response, and still emphatically insist on, is that of all the things Ezra has done, the original poster chose to focus on the pronouns instead.

That's an instant tell of one's moral values and priorities.

DrReedRichards
DrReedRichards - 3/31/2024, 1:39 PM

That's a pretty self explanatory question. It's almost like asking why it is wrong to attribute mental illness and general violent tendencies to gender unconformity.

“What I pointed out in my initial response, and still emphatically insist on, is that of all the things Ezra has done, the original poster chose to focus on the pronouns instead.

That could be true or could not be true. It’s hard to know for sure their intention. Personally, to me that’s a “whataboutism” and an avoidance on your point to reasonable topic they bring up.
The majority agrees that the other charges are immoral. There is not much to discuss there. However, there are some who living in willful delusion as “allies” or those who like to use the title of “trans” as a way to take rights away from women and get lesser sentences for their crimes.

The latter see the delusion of the former as a allowance problem and therefore try to challenge that notion in public discourse. Which, they have every right to do so.

I don’t mean to put you in a category and you shouldn’t try to put him in one either. The moment you label everyone who agrees with biology as a “nazi” or “uncle” you’ve immediately shut down any useful discourse and essentially plugged your ears with your fingers. 🙉

This has nothing to do with being an "ally" of any group or supporter of any cause. Ezra is a criminal c#nt. Period.

But the original poster chose to focus on Ezra being non-binary rather than being the aforementioned criminal c#nt. To me, that's instantly telling of one's urge to generalize in order to justify their bigotry against whatever sexuality he seems to have an issue with.

I don't care (I mean, I do as a supportive person) about people's "supposed "sinning which I hate humans can be so judgmental because "let he who is without sin cast the 1st stone."

I always want to love everyone.

But, in the end, you didn't answer my question. "Self explanatory" can be perceived as a cop-out.
Again, not defending either side because i believe all of government is there to divide and conquer.

I did get to know you, even though I never tried to. Or am I supposed to pretend not to emember your previous accounts with a clear vendetta against me personally?

Do yourself a favour and quit pretending that you're trying to respect me in one essay of a comment only to rush into insulting me as soon as possible in the immediate next one.

Comes off about as hypocritical as pretending not to understand my point about your queestion being self-explanatory. Which was not meant as an insult at the time, but now it is.

lazlodaytona - 4/2/2024, 6:32 AM
@DrReedRichards - coming from a narcissist like you, eh...i'll be fine.

I get along with most everybody on here. Yeah, there's a few that just don't like me because maybe I didn't like The Batman as much as them or take what I say as a threat when really, I'm interested in a civil debate. But, there's a ton of users on here who you can tell are great people.

Unfortunately (and I'm definitely not the only person on here who thinks this), you just talk down to everyone like you're smarter than everyone else. At least I try to go into a debate/difference with an open mind. Not that I actually look for you on here, but I don't think I've ever seen you say things like , "you know? That's a good point" or, "yeah, you're correct and I was wrong." Not suggesting every comment has to sound like that, but approaching people with humbleness gets you way better results.

Sorry you think I'm some phantom user with 50 accounts or something, but whomever really got to you, you should probably just let it go.

Oh, and telling someone to 'get f***ed' is lazy and a mean way of treating someone even though you vehemently disagree with them or think you have the moral high ground. I believe Miller is a complete disaster of a human but I'm not gonna tell someone what said because that makes you no better.

Perhaps it’s better to agree to disagree and walk away rather than devolve into petty fighting and name calling.

Reed is not known to be the most flexible person here fyi. Not insulting him/her but I don’t usually get the sense that they are very open to change or be convinced from seeing their past comments for years now.
