The CW officially announced yesterday that the critically-acclaimed iZombie will return for its fifth and final season on Thursday, May 2, taking over the 8:00 PM slot from Supernatural, which will wrap its fourteenth season the week prior.

Story details have been kept under wraps, but we did recently get a first look at the highly-anticipated season with a photo of both Liv (Rose McIver) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) as salsa dancers, which strongly suggests the show plans on going out with a big bang and a healthy dose of brains.

Additionally, the network has also revealed that the fan-favorite DC's Legends of Tomorrow will return with the back half of its currently ongoing fourth season on Monday, April 1 in a new time slot at 8:00 PM while Arrow will move to 9 PM.

Will Seattle become the capital of the zombie homeland? In season three, Liv has discovered there are more zombies living in Seattle than she previously believed, including a private military contractor employing a zombie army that is preparing for the day humans learn of their existence. Major finds acceptance in this army, and Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a zombie family that may set off an all-out zombie-human war. Ravi’s former boss at the Center for Disease Control shows up in Seattle to investigate the Max Rager massacre. Blaine finds living as a human with no memory of his evil past is more blessing than curse. Peyton pulls at a thread in one of her cases that may lead to the villain that’s pulling all the strings. This action-packed season will see Liv take on the traits of a dominatrix, a JACKASS-style stunt man, an office gossip, a pre-school teacher, a conspiracy theorist, a dungeon master, and more.

iZombie features:
Rose McIver as Olivia "Liv" Moore
Malcolm Goodwin as Clive Babineaux
Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti
Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite
David Anders as Blaine DeBeers
Aly Michalka as Peyton Charles
Bryce Hodgson as Don Everhart

The episode that Legends returns with has to do much Mexican wrestling so we’ll see what the plot with that is about. My one hope for the second half is that they don’t shy away from Neron’s design, it’s not that hard to adapt. Unless they are going to stick throughout the story with Desmond to emotionally and psychologically mess with Constantine.

Best of luck to iZombie’s final Season. 👍

Love that Legends is premiering the rest of the season on April Fools, so fitting for this show.

Also excited for Constantine's subplot to be more fully integrated into the show. My biggest issue with this season so far has been the use of having him on the show (which is weird because his use in season 3 was great), but they kind of fixed that with the last two episodes which were the best of season 4 so far. Hope its more of a "Legends of Tomorrow with Constantine" rather than "Legends of Tomorrow plus Constantine" situation for the rest of the season.

One of the best shows on network tv. Was really pleasantly surprised with it when it first came out.

Love iZombie! So glad they're willing and able to end the show on their own terms.

Best show on TV. Rose McIver would rack up the Emmys if this was on a different network.
