With the first wave of reviews counted, Rotten Tomatoes has generated a score for Hawkeye that gives us a much better idea of how critics have responded to the show's first two episodes. Check it out...

When Eternals reviews started surfacing in October, it quickly became apparent that the movie wasn't going to receive the usual critical acclaim a new Marvel Studios movie or TV show does. Whether that negativity was justified is up for debate, but fans seemed to enjoy the ambitious Phase 4 adventure.

Now, it's Hawkeye's turn; as of right now, the Disney+ series is sitting pretty with a Fresh score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 36 reviews. These verdicts are just for the first two episodes, of course, and as more opinions are counted over the next few weeks, that number could rise or fall. It's unlikely to change too much (unless the series completely goes off the rails), so this should give you a good idea of how critics are feeling about the show right now.

"Hawkeye starts slowly, but the street-level action is a refreshing change of pace for the MCU -- and the chemistry between its leads sparkles even when the plot lags," reads the Critics Consensus.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be able to make their own minds up in a matter of hours, and it will be interesting to see how they feel about Kate Bishop's debut (something everyone who has seen the two-part premiere appears to agree is a highlight thanks to the amazing Hailee Steinfeld).

In our review, we said: "Marvel Studios is once again sleigh-in' it with Hawkeye, an unmissable Christmastime team-up bringing holiday cheer to the MCU with top tier storytelling delivered in the Mighty Marvel Manner and a bold, brilliant new hero in Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop."

@TheWalkingCuban - I've tried watching these shows when they air at 2:00 a.m., and sometimes the traffic on the servers is so bad that the buffering lags behind. So, I just wait until about 4:00 a.m.

I'd prefer the studios use real pictures (photoshopped if needed) instead of paintings trying to look like the real thing but failing.

Phase 4 has so far been either "wow?" or "hey that was good but definitely had a lot of issues", wonder where this one will land for me.

@WakandanQueen - I mentioned in a prior article that Avengers Endgame was the day we graduated college and left the MCU behind to the next generation. And Phase 4 feels exactly that. A culmination of different moods, vibes, and trending topics for the new generation.
