THE GIFTED: Drastic Measures Are Taken In New Photos From Season 2, Episode 4: "outMatched"

After one of its finest hours ever, The Gifted will continue to ramp up the intensity next week when the Mutant Underground embark on a mission to stop the Inner Circle from carrying out their latest plot.

The Gifted continues to prove itself as one of the finest superhero shows on television and last night's episode was arguably one of the series' best as Marcos (Sean Teale) finally met his daughter and later faced off with Reeva (Grace Byers) and the Stepford Cuckoos (Emma Dumont) when he tried to convince Polaris (Emma Dumont) that the evil triplets and their leader were just trying to use her.

Whether or not his message got through remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, next week's installment will see him reunite with the Mutant Underground on a revenge-seeking mission. Meanwhile, the Struckers will have to deal with Reed's (Stephen Moyer) recent revelation and Jace (Coby Bell) gets contacted by a member of the Purifiers.

The Struckers, minus Andy, begin to rebuild their broken trust, while Thunderbird, Blink and Eclipse visit Wire, hoping to convince him to help again. But when they get there, they learn that something terrible has happened from Wire's brother, Graph (guest star Adam David Thompson). The team discovers that the Inner Circle is on the way to raid a mutant detention facility, so they make moves to try to intercept them. Meanwhile, Jace is contacted by a member of the Purifiers in the all-new "outMatched" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Oct. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
