Jupiter's Legacy arrives on Netflix on May 7th, and we now have a new batch of character posters for the series. Putting the spotlight on this comic book adaptation's lead heroes, we also get a few more details about what to expect from the likes of the Utopian, Lady Liberty, and Brainwave.

With Daredevil's Steven S. DeKnight serving as showrunner, there's a lot of excitement surrounding this small screen take on Mark Millar (Civil War) and Frank Quitely's (Batman and Robin) adaptation of the hit Image comic book. The cast includes names like Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Leslie Bibb, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade, Matt Lanter, and Ian Quinlan.

"No legacy lives forever," reads the brief synopsis for the series. "The first generation of superheroes have kept the world safe for nearly a century. Now their children must continue their legendary ideals. From the mind of Mark Millar, Jupiter’s Legacy is streaming only on Netflix May 7th, 2021."

Jupiter's Legacy is the first of many Millarworld adaptations the streaming service is currently developing, so all eyes will be on this series to give fans an idea of what to expect from the slate of properties on Netflix.

I'm growing kind of tired with all the superhero shows flooding the market. Nearly every second series pick-up is comic-book related and while not a bad thing in itself I'm afraid this will lead to an oversaturation.

Not overly wowed by what we've seen so far, but I'll give it a chance for sure. Between this, Umbrella Academy, Superman and Lois, and Invincible we do get a lot of different takes on the 'superhero family/legacy' theme.

@DrThomasWayne - the comics are very good, and its not about family drama, its more like the old vs the new generation, and the new generation of superheros are like [frick] the ogs, we take from here bunch of grandpas, the utopian is the best character, he cant evolve and adapt like the others to the new century, so he much like superman
