He did a great job again this season. The Bo-Katan and Dark Trooper themes were very good too

"When Luke takes his hood off we all wanted people at home to stand up on their feet and feel this power," Göransson continues. "It was an obvious choice to put it in there at that moment."

My kid dropped an F-bomb, because I kept expecting them to pull a RJ, and it not be him all the way to the reveal....Lone X-wing...sure....ok Black cloak can't see what colour saber it is.....ok ...ok so it's green is it Cal?....ok ...ok..ok so we have a black glove.....Yes! Silver belt buckle...

Man! That is how you do Star Wars....it made sense for ONLY Luke to find him.

@nikgrid - Yeah, that was me. The X-wing, the green light saber, the black boots, utter mastery of The Force ... the circumstantial evidence, taken together, compelled the conclusion, beyond a reasonable doubt, that it was Luke. Still, that johnson RJ left me mentally scarred after TLJ that I wouldn't believe it until I saw Luke's face uncloaked. And, just like that, I love Star Wars again.

On my rewatch of the first season, I noticed something about the theme of the show

Kind of sounds like parts of the rocky theme

@Kyos - so weird how similar to beats are. Someone might owe Bill Conti (the rocky composer) some money

@dracula - Well he did compose the Creed movies. Seems like he brought some of that language to the Mandalorian.

@dracula - What an incredible composition. Sounds 1976, but it will never die.

Been listening to both "Friend" and "Open the door" on a loop for the last 3 days.
Such an original composer.

Finally they released part 2 of the soundtrack! I'd rather have him take over the movies instead of Michael Giachino. Who seems like someone who likes to use the original music instead of making his own lol

@bobevanz - Yeah? I felt like Rogue One was incredibly original. The only times he reused themes was for Vader and Leia/the force. I’m not that big a fan of R1, but the music was INCREDIBLE.

I think it's really cool that Mandalorian uses actual Star Wars themes. I thought it was a bad decision for Clone Wars to refrain from using that classic music. Apparently Lucas wanted it to have its own sound. That's why there's only ever subtle musical cues rather than actual John Williams compositions featured in the show. Glad Mando is embracing Williams music and not going down that path
