According to a new rumour, there are already plans in place to follow this December's SteelBook release of The Mandalorian's first two seasons with more of Disney+'s Star Wars offerings, including Andor!

Disney recently announced plans to release The Mandalorian's first two seasons on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook this December. Star Wars fans spent a long time waiting for that news, but what about the rest of Lucasfilm's Disney+ offerings?

According to the YouTube account In Search of Physical Media (via SFFGazette.com), Disney is planning to release The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, and The Mandalorian season 3 in the same SteelBook format in 2024.

If accurate, this is very exciting, though we're sure many of you will be wondering why there's no mention of Obi-Wan Kenobi. While the YouTuber asked sources whether the series is getting a 4K release, he claims to have heard nothing back. It's possible Disney plans to leave a larger release window for that series given its popularity, though we also can't discount the possibility of its physical media debut depending on how well the other SteelBooks do.

It also sounds like these releases will be limited editions, meaning additional copies may not be issued down the line. With that in mind, it may be wise to get your pre-orders in now rather than waiting on possible future price drops.

There are a number of Star Wars TV shows fans would like to see hit Blu-ray, including The Bad Batch, the final season of The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: Visions. Seeing as they're animated and draw a smaller audience, that sadly seems far less likely.

With any luck, we'll have some official news to share with you soon.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are now streaming on Disney+.

@bobevanz - Yeah, and there's nothing wrong with it.

Streaming isn't always guaranteed high quality and shows and films can be pulled from a service at the drop of a hat.

@bobevanz - I get it but with a nice home theatre setup, physical media looks and sounds way better than any streaming app

I feel like if you get rid of the Mando episodes you could just make the Book of Boba Fett a made for tv movie.

Why would anyone want to watch Book of Boba Fett again?

I'll pick up Andor for sure. I'll even get Mando 1 and 2 because they aren't horrible.

Everything else can suck it.

Season 3 of Mandalorian was disappointing and the return of Baby Yoda nullified the impact of the season 2 finale.

Book of Boba Fett started well and they were going in a cool direction, but then Kathleen Kennedy got involved and it went downhill fast.
