Everything that comes out this year will "flop". Duh.

The answer is all of them until the pandemic is fully under control

@inkniron - Yea I'm still confused as to why people think that these films are gonna perform like normal or even only slightly under perform. While Black Widow definitely lost out on some money by being on D+ day and date, I'm pretty sure if it had been released in China it would have come close to $500M which would only be $200M behind F9 which is theaters only.

@LongMayHeReign - It may never go away completely, but theater viewing has been on a downslide for many years anyway and it's probably never going to be the same regardless of outcome here. Ticket prices keep going up to balance the sheets, but there is only so far you can go with that.

In it's best possible timeline, I saw it as probably an Antman type haul. Re-watchablility was low for a lot of people anyway and BW already being dead probably devalued it some as well.

Flop is a relative term anyway. Most people, outsiders keeping score, only care about gross sales. It's an outdated method of declaring a winner. Studios' bean counters care about net profits and stock shares.

I was planning for Shang Chi to be the first movie I watch back in theaters. But if Delta variant numbers do indeed go up, I wouldn't mind it being Spidey No Way Home.

@JFerguson - If things get worse, I'm fully expecting No Way Home to be delayed. It's why I think Sony has been holding this trailer for so freakin long. They don't know if this movie is gonna make its December release date.

It'll all get pushed back:

Eternals - March
Spider-man: NWH - May
Doctor Strange 2 - July
Thor L&T - November (If they have fixed the pandemic by then)

Premium access needs to die and also you can’t call a movie a flop when the box office is not back to normal and most territories don’t even have their theaters open yet
