I like that he kept the design the same but tweaked it to accomodate the cold area Subzero lives in.

@grif: The Lin Kuei's location is a very snow filled place so what's the problem? Not to mention Subzero is an earthrealm born character. China specifically.

The first Mortal Kombat was the best video game adaptation at the time. This is looking pretty good though.

once again this has mention million of time MK Rebirth has nothing to do with this webseries at all. Kevin Tancharoen MK Rebirth was a fan film showing his directing style. this webseries will be closer to the video game universe. so everything u seen in Rebirth wont be in this series at all.

@runefyst-this series wont be based off the short film that was made last year. like comedian03/jazzman said the director said its more based off of the games nd not the short he made. does anyone know if its gonna be free download/streaming or are we gonna have to pay per episode to watch it when it first comes out?

l like the way Sub-Zero looks, just a great way to update. I wanna see the inner conflict between him and Scorpion's clans. I wanna see more of the rivalry between the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei.

Scorpion has always been my top #1 character, followed 2nd by Sub.

Hopefully this show lives up to fan-expectations...cause mine are high. lol

pretty bad ass i do say. Didnt the director state that the SubZero and Scorpion episode would be in the past and be totally in japanese (Chinese?) with subtitles??? How you think its gonna tie in??? Time travel??? Regardless, looks awesome.

@crazyray yea ancient japan, this is what Kevin Tancharoen said in an interview posted i think last week-We're going to do an episode with Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but it takes place in ancient Japan. The whole episode is in Japanese and you see the depth of Scorpion's family and clan and how they got murdered, etc. That one is going to be very epic, because of the iconic characters.

well thats not all true my friend. in a interview with Michael Jai White and one of the producers they confirmed the reality based is for characters like Jax, Sonya, Kano and Johnny and fantasy elements is for characters like Shang Tsung, Baraka, etc.

picture MK Legacy as Harry Potter i.e. it mix reality and fantasy all in one.
