Kristen Wiig's Barbara Minerva was one of the highlights of Wonder Woman 1984, but fans didn't seem to be quite as won over by Cheetah.

Minerva only fully transformed into the feline villain towards the end of the movie, and her battle with the Golden Eagle-armoured Diana (Gal Gadot) was a messy, murky sequence which did the mostly CGI character no justice whatsoever.

Cheetah's actual character design also proved to be divisive, as many were hoping for a more animalistic take on Wonder Woman's most ferocious foe. However, just as many fans seemed to be on board with the character's final form, which is given the spotlight here in some impressive concept art from Maciej Kuciara.

"Over two years ago I had a chance to work with director Patty Jenkins and help to figure out the look of Cheetah in new Wonder Woman 1984," said the artist in his Instagram post. "It was a pretty short project, but nonetheless fun as Patty is incredibly fun director to work with. The challenge was to figure out where the design could land with wardrobe vs cg in mind. Fun fun stuff."

@mastakilla39 - They released the first book, The Invasion, as a graphic novel a few months ago. I highly suggest it, it's soooo good.

@Superheromoviefan - I don't mind the design, it's the best you can do with a cheetah-person. But the movie's CGI was wonky.

Finally watched the film and I really don't see why everyone is saying it's so bad. I was preparing myself for another Suicide Squad or BvS but the film is actually decent. It only turns into illogical garbage in the final act (but even the 2017 movie was attacked for having a bad 3rd act). Overall, most of the buildup is pretty interesting (the Diana/Steve stuff and Max Lord) and I think it's a solid 6/10.

@Nightwing1015 - yep. It's a popcorn flick, doesn't even try to be more.
