The idea has grown on me. If he were to commit, and continue bulking, and worked on a voice, he could absolutely nail it. A true runt

Funny how nowadays hollywood celebs can't work out without people thinking they're hired as a superhero.

@Fogs - this is America. 95% of Americans think the only benefit to gyms is to become Hollywood actors.

Well, at least now I can imagine me working out and people assuming I'm the next spiderman 🤣

@Fogs - Agree, taron egerton was working out for his tv show black bird and everyone kept assuming he was going to play wolverine too. News is def slow since SAG talks fell through. No real news or casting confirms until next year.....

I still think he would make a better Nightcrawler then Wolverine…

I just don’t see him as Logan.

Please don’t put your goofy lists in the articles Josh. It’s distracting and stylistically exhausting. Keep them on the features pages.

Paul Rudd denied being Antman, Brie Larson denied being Captain Marvel, Andrew Garfield denied being the Werewolf...

@DiegoMD - Pretty much every actor denies being cast in a role before its announced. Unless they slip up.

How many times have people denied being cast in a role and it turned out to be true?

@DiegoMD - Joaquin Phoenix denied being dr strange and was seen walking out of comic stores with dr strange books....then it was announced that benedict cumberbatch was dr strange. Can't tell you how many people denied being james bond or batman and it was true too.
DiegoMD
DiegoMD - 10/18/2023, 7:58 AM
@mastakilla39 - Joaquin Phoenix was offered the role. He later denied, but when they asked him he was probably under negotiations and the comics were him learning about the character to see if he wanted to accept the role.

@DiegoMD - I know, my point is that you can't really guess whose going to be cast because actors can pass on it too. Daniel Radcliffe turned down Harry Potter because he didn't want to be involved with franchises. I doubt he would sign up for Wolverine especially when WB offered him more money to return as HP and he passed on it.

Marvel likes to create Superstars and not cast people who are well known. Most likely the whole X-men cast is going to be full of fresh faces including Wolverine.

See him as more of a Morph or Arcade type.

Radcliffe is a gem of an actor and person. But he just doesn't feel like the proper Logan to me. I'm sure he'd do something cool with the role, that I have no doubt of. But I really hope whoever the next Wolverine is, is as close to the source material as possible.

Hairy

Gruff

Short (doesn't have to be tiny anywhere from 5'6 - 5'9 works)

Stocky and built but still very agile (think the body type of Rey Mysterio Jr.),

Lots of tough guy talk (don't skip on the "bub's")

Not ugly but definitely unconventionally attractive (this is tinsel town after all)

An actor with a hell of a lot of presence. Since Wolverine will be small compared to the heroes he shares the screen with, the actor needs to be able to command the screen so he doesn't come off as a joke. They really need to play into how ferocious Wolverine is, especially while in combat. If they give us the berserker beast, it'll give so much weight to how badass he is. This way he won't seem like a joke standing next to Thor, or Hulk.

Who this actor is, is beyond me. Zac Efron could physically play the role, I'm just not sure about how he would pull it off character wise though. Fingers crossed whoever they pick is a solid choice. It'll be hard to compare to Jackmans time as the character. They need to do something different enough that it can stand on its own. Hopefully sticking to the source material does the trick.

I just can't see it. It will probably break the character for me, as all I can think is ''hey, that's Daniel Radcliffe''. And once that illusion is broken, it's not good casting.

@bkmeijer1 - 100% agree. I don't know who is out there perpetuating these rumors, but I can't imagine he is actually a "fan favorite" outside of a strange few. Really wish they would stop talking about it. I like him, but it would not be good casting. At all.

If he is under the height of 5ft10 and he gets buff enough, I actually wouldn't mind him as Wolverine.

Elijah Wood took his LOTR money and just enjoyed his life. Radcliff is doing the same thing. No way he gets involved with something like this.

I've always thought that he couldn't be, but a lot of time has passed and he's very dedicated to become entirely different for each role he signs up. So maybe I'll start to be more open minded.

I'm also gonna see that interview in the link because it looks fun, Jonathan Groff was behaving a lot like his character from Mindhunter. (I do really wish that David Fincher's The Killer film is so successful that Netflix sits down with him to talk about reviving that show, c'mon)
