Late Night with the Devil, which was written, directed and edited by Australian siblings Cameron and Colin Cairnes, hits theaters next week, and critics have been very impressed with the found footage-style horror movie.

In fact, with 47 reviews counted so far, the film currently has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score and is certified fresh at 100%.

"Delightfully dark, Late Night with the Devil proves possession horror isn't played out -- and serves as an outstanding showcase for David Dastmalchian," reads the critics consensus.

The Suicide Squad actor stars as Jack Delroy, the host of a fictional 1970s variety and late-night talk show titled Night Owls with Jack Delroy.

"The film purports to be derived from a rediscovered master tape of an episode from the show's sixth season, broadcast on Halloween 1977. During this live television broadcast, havoc unfolds when Delroy interviews a parapsychologist (Laura Gordon) and the subject of her recent book, a young teenager (Ingrid Torelli) who was the sole survivor of a Satanic church's mass suicide."

The trailer seemed interesting, they must have faith in the final product to warrant a theatrical release

That's not really an impressive number to go off, any studio could just pay off the first 50 people who saw their film to give it glowing reviews.

I don't trust the RT score system but I'm glad people are liking it! I'll keep my eyes on reviews and check it out

I remember going to see Cabin in the Woods when I was in college, and asked my best bud if he wanted to go see this movie which was getting raves about and I knew would be awesome. He wasn’t up for it that day. Half hour later he came back after reading the 99% RT score and reviews and joined me promptly. Funniest darn theater experience watching that movie.

Wish it was playing at a nearby theater for me. Closest one is 15 miles away but I gotta see this.

This is one of those rare horror films I'm willing to give a shot because I'm a sucker for found footage type of films, the setting of the 70s and David Dastmalchian always chews scenary when he's given the chance, making all of this a perfect mix that I'm happy to see that has managed to amount such a solid number of accolades. Everything about it seems rightfull ominious that you just can't help but want to see what happens.

Crazy how much Dastmalchian has climbed the ladder since his short cameo in TDK. Can play good comic relief like in the Ant-Man films to funny and sympathetic villains seeking redemption in The Suicide Squad as Polka-Dot Man, to pure evil like in Dune as Piter and also sadistic classic Rogues such as Abra Kadabra in The Flash, etc. And this role only could be played by him.

I hope this can find it's way to my country because I would dare to watch it on the big screen like it's supposed to be enjoyed.

About time David gets his time in the spotlight. He's been in countless good stuff, yet never really in a lead role I believe

@bkmeijer1 - dude! RIGHT!!! He's been great in every role he's been in, but the guy never got his shot in the spot light for anything big that I can think of. Stoked he's getting his time too and that it's such a hit!

I'm stoked to see David Dastmalchian finally getting some credit. The guy is a great actor, but he's largely had to see in the back for most of his career, but he crushes his role in every movie you see him in! I've been hoping to see this dude get his time to shine in the spot line!
