I was surprised how little I cared watching the first half of this. Whole universes are dying and its just so dull. The cameos are cool on paper but they do nothing for me. Not seeing Conroy in the cowl really hurt too.

Lex Luthor has been fun though.

I never imagined they could do worse than Apocalypse for a villain design...

@TheDoctor1225 -

Without getting too spoilery, the final battle is not in episode 4. If you want to see for yourself
a guy called Canadagrafs who posts set photos from Arrowverse shows shooting in Vancouver
has some set photos which point to a much larger final battle in a different setting than this one.

We need Welling back. Once all earths are restored

@Nightwing1015 -

That kind of defeats the purpose of his cameo in Crisis. Welling's Clark wasn't just telling Cryer's
Lex Luthor he was done with Superman, he was telling the fandom he was done as well.

He's depowered and retired to raise a family with Lois.

@WarnerBrother - Yeah but many Smallville fans were unhappy with that plot point for Clark. It's completely out of character and kinda makes the entire run of Smallville pointless.
FishyZombie
FishyZombie - 1/2/2020, 7:34 PM
@Nightwing1015 - not really out of character. That particular version of Clark Kent was always a reluctant hero. Hell I vaguely remember him getting depowered somewhere in the middle and being thrilled about it.
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 1/3/2020, 4:07 AM
@FishyZombie - Yeah but that was his whole arc. He learned through the series to embrace his destiny. Also Smallville's Lois would NEVER accept him giving up his powers. There's literally a whole episode of Smallville about her not letting him do that. So she's acting out of character too. One glance at the Smallville subreddit will show that fans aren't happy and are calling all of this out.

@Nightwing1015 - I've read that one of the producers said there's a scene, which there are three Supermen together. I guess these are Welling, Routh and Hoechlin. Also, in the final trailer for crisis at 0:56 mark there's an S emblem on the cape of the superman who tries to catch the helicopter. I guess that's Welling's Superman as he is the only one who has an S emblem on his cape.

Nightwing1015 - 1/3/2020, 7:22 AM
@giannis - Nah the producer corrected himself if I recall correctly. He meant all in the same episode. The Superman with the S is the version from the old Superboy show. He's returning.

how far these crossovers have come
WarnerBrother
WarnerBrother - 1/2/2020, 2:34 PM
@dracula -

Rumor is a World Finest crossover between Batwoman and Supergirl will take place later this season.

By smaller crossover, that could just mean the new big three of The Flash, Batwoman, and Supergirl.

Maybe more along the lines of a mystery that needs Batwoman's skills and not a universe ending event.

Legends can just do its own thin as always and Superman and Lois could be left to its own storyline
too.

If HBO Max's Green Lantern is indeed and Arrowverse show, let it have a year or 2 setting up its
own universe before crossing it over with the CW shows in a Blackest Night crossover.

@WarnerBrother -
Hopefully we get a yearly Batwoman/Supergirl crossover

True they could just mean another 3 way crossover, just figured it would be easier to coordinate 2 shows at a time, plus could lead to some great moments, since each of the shows characters would get more to do thoughout, since for the past few crossovers, the supporting heroes tend to only show up for a few scenes in their episode and for the final battle.

Can we stop with all the padding "check out the old article images" at the bottom of almost every article? It makes a very pointlessly long scroll to the comments section.

I'm gearing up to watch the first three parts, so I'm skimming the wiki to see if there's any context I need before starting and I read:

To learn more about what happens to him, Barry travels to Earth-3 to see Jay Garrick and Joan Williams... They send Barry's mind forward in time, causing him to see billions of timelines where the multiverse is destroyed and the one where he dies saving it.

Serious question: did it come across in the show like the kind of Doctor Strange in Infinity War ripoff that this reads like?
NinnesMBC
NinnesMBC - 1/3/2020, 2:39 PM
@Spock0Clock - More like they mixed the roles of Doctor Strange and Iron Man into Barry being the one that witnessed it and also be aware that he must be ready to sacrifice himself to stop it when the moment arrives, it was meant to start the first arc of Season 6 to make him prepare the team for a city and a world without Flash.
