KRYPTON Renewed For A Second Season At Syfy; Plus New Photos From Tomorrow's Season Finale
Ahead of tomorrow night's action-packed season finale, Syfy has officially announced that they've renewed their Superman prequel series, Krypton, for a second season, set to air sometime in 2019.
After a strong freshman outing, Syfy has officially renewed Krypton for a second season, which is set to air sometime in 2019. The DC series is currently the network's most-watched debut season of an original series since 2014 and the most-watched season of any scripted series on the network since 2015.
The series follows the adventures of Superman's grandfather, Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), after he gets an urgent message from the time-traveling Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), who warns him of the coming threat of Brainiac (Blake Ritson). Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Aaron Pierre, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Ian McElhinney, and Colin Salmon also co-star.

Set two generations before Superman ever heads to Earth, Krypton follows Kal-El’s grandfather (played by Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The series comes from producers David Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow). Along with Cuffe, the show stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).
