Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 may have closed the doors on the beloved space ensemble, as their time defending the cosmos from intergalactic threats has reached its end, but we are still in for a treat as one character appears to not be going anywhere anytime soon; Groot.

Last year, Marvel Studio's released 5-shorts oriented around everyone's favorite nettlesome little tree character in a seasonal structure, and it seems this September, they are coming back with what appears to be a Season 2!

I am Groot Season 2 is arriving on Disney + in early September, and if the trailer indicated anything, we will be watching Groot finding himself causing a lot more trouble and shenanigans than helping save the galaxy.

The series takes place following the events of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, so it does not affect the overall MCU narrative too much, as this would occur a decade prior to where we are now in the current MCU-timeline.

Are you excited to watch I Am Groot Season 2?

I Am Groot Season 2 releases on September 6th, on Disney +

I Am Groot is an American series of animated shorts created by Kirsten Lepore for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Groot.

It features characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), following Baby Groot on various adventures that get him into trouble between the events of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's (2017) mid-credits scenes. The series is produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with Lepore serving as head writer and director.

I enjoyed season 1. CGI was really good and it was fun.
