Next week's episode of Ahsoka has already been described as a "game changer," and if these latest rumors are any indication, Disney+'s latest live-action Star Wars series will be keeping a few surprises in store for the remainder of its first season.

Potentially major spoilers ahead.

Previous reports have claimed that Ahsoka Tano, who seemingly fell to her death in the closing moments of this week's "Fallen Jedi" only to awaken in the World Between Worlds, will engage in a lightsaber duel with her former master, Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker, in what's been described as a very different retelling of Revenge of the Sith's final battle.

However, it sounds like there's going to be a lot more to this long-awaited reunion.

According to insider MTTSH, Ahsoka is going to experience various alternate reality events, including her killing Grand Admiral Thrawn before he has the chance to pull Ezra Bridger into another galaxy. It seems these visions are all designed to make the former Jedi understand that, no matter what course of action she took, things would turn out the same way.

Apparently, Tano's journey concludes with her emerging as "Ahsoka the White" (a nod to Gandalf the White from The Lord of the Rings), which we got a glimpse of in the series finale of Star Wars Rebels.

Whether this will occur in the season finale or in the build-up is not clear, but we should have a lot more to go in after next Tuesday's still untitled instalment.

What do you make of these new details? Be sure to let us know in the comments, and check out some new artwork featuring Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.

Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.

I predict Ahsoka will quietly stand around starring at people while crossing her arms.

If true, for a season one this show really requires a lot of experience with the side content of star wars. Like not just the 6 movies (I said what I said), but also clone wars and rebels.

And before you say this is meant to be a sequel to rebels, the fact it's live action and Rosario Dawson is returning as ahsoka from the mandalorian means it's attracting a new audience that mightve passed on the animated shows. So bare minimum it should be written with that idea in mind.

@Origame - Or you could go watch the six movies and TV shows instead of demanding they dumb the show down for the sake non-fans
Origame
Origame - 9/9/2023, 7:14 PM
@PlusUltra - ...and it's that logic that results in this being one of the lowest view counts of the live action shows.

Look, if this were animated the problem wouldn't matter. But they are clearly bringing in at least the audience of the mandalorian by both making it live action and having Rosario Dawson's take on ahsoka introduced in that series. You need to understand the audience you're appealing to and what they will most likely have seen.

Most haven't seen rebels. And it's ridiculous to expect them to know that. And it shouldn't be considering dumbing down the show to explain who Ezra is and why we should care if he's alive.

@Origame - Idk, i think they've done a good job at giving you everything you need to know, if theres any mystery, i think thats regular show programming, mystery will be solved by the time the show is over. I am all caught up on rebels and clone wars but my brother, he probably watched one season of clone wars in 2014 when we both were in college, he definitely never watched rebels. but he and my sister inlaw, sister in law who only knows the movies and the mandoverse stuff, he said they both are loving all the ahsoka episodes, and my sister loves it so much that she said shes hungry for more star wars content so both of them just started watching clone wars together last week and they'll watch rebels after.

@Origame - With 14 million viewers and critical acclaim, it’s not the lowest viewed show.

Origame
Origame - 9/9/2023, 10:12 PM
@whoknows - yeah, but that's anecdotal. I know plenty of people who stopped watching because they didn't know why ahsoka is suddenly alive with a young anakin or what's the big deal with Ezra.

@PlusUltra - ...according to disney. And specifically after samba TV pointed out how it has some of the weakest numbers of any star wars streaming show. That doesn't sound biased at all 🙄
whoknows
whoknows - 9/10/2023, 1:19 PM
@Origame - so they stopped watching at the very last episode? Lol we’ll see if they really stopped watching when the 5th episode is out.
Origame

@whoknows - dude, I'm giving different examples. And yes, some did give up at the last episode. They said as much.
whoknows
whoknows - 9/10/2023, 4:23 PM
@Origame - I only said it like that not as a laugh towards you but them saying given up as if there were any other episodes for them to watch right now. Either way, Star Wars needed this shaking up. I’m sure most would agree the last sequel played it to safe and didn’t add anything new to the lore other than names. But no cool developments or deeper explorations which I think George would have done with his last treatment. But I understand if it could be weird for some.

Origame - 9/10/2023, 5:45 PM
@whoknows - you're acting as if we can't have this "shake up" without them just explaining what's going on.

Dragon ball released two films fairly recently. And despite it being from one solid continuity in one show, they still explained what's important for the audience to know. Saiyans are important to broly? Let's explain what the saiyans are. Dr gero and the red ribbon army are important for super hero? Let's explain that. And neither of those films felt dumbed down in explaining important bits for people who might not know it.

It's always important to factor in what people know about your lore. If it's not reasonable they haven't seen x movie or y TV show, you better establish the context here.

AHSOKA Rumors May Give Us An Idea Of What To Expect From Remainder Of Season 1 with watered down character performances and more convoluted plot points that refer to 6 seasons of past episodes you need to watch to understand what's going on. Audience numbers are dropping. No surprise.

My question is why is Anakin still appearing in his younger form when he died when he was in his 50s canon wise? I thought force ghosts are the age of which the person died.
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 9/9/2023, 6:27 PM
@SonOfAGif - He was actually only 45. He became Vader real young
Origame
Origame - 9/9/2023, 8:01 PM
@SonOfAGif - actually that was retconned after the prequels with the special editions.

Now it's that you assume the form when you were last a jedi.

Since obi wan and Yoda stayed jedi their whole lives, they appear as they did when they died.

But anakin hasn't been a jedi since the events of revenge of the sith. So he goes back to that form as a force ghost.
whoknows
whoknows - 9/9/2023, 8:25 PM
@SonOfAGif - the new return of the jedi's book explains a bit what happened during anakins death and how he didnt choose the jedi form as a force ghost and gives a few nods to why he was shown in that form. Also, who says that is anakin as a force ghost, he doesnt have the appearance of any force ghosts, he looks real. Although this could mean so many things, because his opening line was "didnt expect to see you so soon ahsoka" so to me, that alludes to ahsoka dying and maybe the world between worlds is where all force ghosts go and maybe you just done look like a ghost in the WBW. thats a possibility. OR maybe anakin is showing ahsoka a form of himself from when ahsoka last saw him. Maybe her mind has input over how he looks right now, cuz he doesnt appear to look like the revenge of the sith anakin. His hair is more matching to clone wars than it is to revenge of the sith. And those were the garments he wore when ahsoka last saw him. orrrrr maybe hes not anakin at all and its all a trick. or ill give you one more. Maybe it is anakin from the clone wars, literally, and he has entered the WBW Space. Which would mean he might get a glimpse of his future, and that could give more context to the history we know, if it is true, that would mean anakin knew he would fall to the dark side but also knew it was the only way that he would get to kill palpatine. that maybe have some draw backs for plot holes, idk, ill leave that up to redditors. there is a lot of questions so hopefully episode 5 explains it well.
