I'm so sick of seeing Jennifer Lawrence. She's in every scene in the movie it seems like playing Katniss.. We get it, you're pretty and woman power and all but I dont remember some blonde chick in the Xmen cartoon tellin cyclops what to do

@HeavensWarrior Exactly, Many folks on this site can't seem to get that. These films will never be 100% Comic Book accurate, Word for word, And also by Page. No studio would do it, Not even Marvel! The only way I see a comic being done accurately is in an animated film. For instance look at The Dark Knight Returns part 1 & 2. Accurately done & faithful to the source material!

You know I don't think Bryan Singer is a terrible director. I just don't think he is right for X-men. I just don't think his heart is in it, this is a paycheck gig for him.

Say what you want about Superman Returns, he clearly had a passion for that project. That movie had some truly epic set pieces, then when he goes over to the x-men the future scenes in DOFP seem so small scale and timid.

Give the franchise to someone who cares. Would love to see what Joss Whedon could have done with the x-men. He has actually always been more of an x-men guy than avengers.

There's a part of that wants to see what the X-Men would be like in the MCU, but I really like Singer's x-films. Looking forward to this.

Those are the questions X-fans ask? I understand now why they have such low expectations.

An updated version of these suits would have been perfect for this movie

Who the hell asks those questions? All of those Twitter questions are plants. No serious comic book movie lover is that weak to ask such stupid questions.

Real Questions for Bryan Singer:
Why are you STILL putting these "X-Men" in those tired black leather uniforms?
Why are you not using the ACTUAL personalities and ACTUAL relationships of the X Men?
Do you not believe that the Real X Men would have mass appeal?
When are you gonna give up and put the X Men where they belong...under Marvel?

Guess what, I'm a comic book fan and an X-Men fan and I like these movies, guess your theory doesn't hold up.

@HeavensWarrior

You want to know why Marvel films are really beloved by the fans? It isn't about word for word faithfulness to source material, it is all about the characters. The characters are the important thing to get right, you can change story beat details but when you start messing with the actual personalities of the characters that is when it becomes a problem.

Iron Man acts like Iron Man from the comics, Captain America acts like Captain America, Thor like Thor.

On the other hand look at the x-men films. Wolverine behaves nothing like his comic book counterpart. The Wolverine I grew up with was a bad-ass, hot-tempered loner not a well adjusted team player. And mystique? I don't even know whats going on there. Cyclops was a leader and a strategist in the comics but in the films hes basically a joke. Storm is weak and useless in the movies as well. Don't even get me started on what they did to Phoenix. The only characters they got right were Xavier and Magneto.

Why did you castrate Cyclops?

Why did you underuse and totally screw up Colossus?

Why didn't you use the First Class....in "First Class"?

Why do you suck? (oops, nevermind)

@ThePhantazm The movie Thor is nothing close to the comics. He's under power and rarely show his badass side... That's the one character i wish Marvel do a better job getting right.

@HeavensWarrior, @AztecaAguilar04, and will we ever get a series of animated, full-length feature theatrical release films getting as close to the original comic book stories as possible?

I've been expostulating a "Marvel Comics Classics" animated theatrical release series for a long time, hell, even 5-8 releases a year. Not a huge budget, and we could get the original stories from the comics, and much more comics-true portrayals played out full-screen, and, yes, a PERFECT forum for new acting voices to break out and actually own these characters we know and love as their very own new interpretations.

Think about it.

Budgets? VERY low.

Characters? Already known, ready-made audiences already receptive.

Theaters, open to filling seats based on the Marvel or DC imprimatur? Ready.

I think it is a GREAT concept.

And, Marvel and DC, if you do this, email @bropous and we can work out the particulars. 'Cause I came up with the concept.

*wink*

I still think it is a GREAT idea.

Hell, that Disney animated crap and Pixar animated crap packs the theaters, and now we have the whole idea of "adult coloring books". So.

Theater release animated two-hour superhero movies. Cheap, high profit margin, more suited for more true adaptations of the original comics. Fill in the gaps between the more expensive live-action theatrical releases for audiences who really enjoy comic book movies.

Yeah.

A concept ready for prime-time.

@kalehawj

I think Thor has been pretty badass in the movies but fair enough. It still isn't nearly as far off as what Fox has done with some of the x-men.

I especially hate how Fox have this habit of taking great characters and literally give them nothing to say or do. Sabretooth is one of the most vicious and unpredictable bad guys in marvel but in the first x-men he is a docile henchman. Bishop is a great character from the comics... did he even speak in DOFP? I honestly can't remember.

I give Marvel a lot of credit for what they have done with Captain America. If they were as lazy as Fox they would just say... "well, nobody likes this character and hes too much of a boy scout so we are just going to make him a limp noodle." Yeah, cap is a boy scout even in the comics but that doesn't mean he can't also be smart, and a great leader. If only Fox had realized that with cyclops.
