Marvel Comics Announces John Romita Jr.'s Return To The Company With An Incredible Piece Of Artwork

John Romita Jr. has spent the past few years lending his talents to the DC Universe on titles like All-Star Batman and Superman, but it's now been confirmed that he's making his long-awaited Marvel return.

John Romita Jr. shocked the world when it was announced he was heading to DC Comics, and while his work in the DC Universe has definitely impressed, it's fair to say that his take on Marvel's iconic characters has definitely been missed. Well, he's now set to make his long-awaited return.

"I have been very fortunate more than a few times in my life, and now I can add this latest event to that list. I have returned to Marvel, the company that I started my career in, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!" the artist said in a statement. "I am literally, at this very moment, working on my next big Marvel project, and it’s a blast! I am just as excited as I was when I first started, and I will do my best to let the work show that again. I hope fans will see that too!"

Marvel Comics hasn't announced what this event is, but a press release notes that "Romita will enter the Marvel Universe once again to draw some of Marvel’s most iconic characters and titles."

It seems fair to say that most fans will be hoping he returns to Amazing Spider-Man, especially with that title's landmark issue #900 on the horizon. A teaser image has been release to accompany this news, and that includes characters from the Avengers, Eternals, Fantastic Four, and X-Men.

We also see heroes like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and The Hulk.
