In another batch of photos (and a video) from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder, we see Valkyrie wearing a very unexpected costume, Natalie Portman's Jane Foster going through a transformation, and more...

As Thor: Love and Thunder continues shooting in Australia, we have another batch of set photos (and a video) to share with you today. These are among the most revealing yet, though, as we see Natalie Portman make her return as Jane Foster. Weirdly, she appears to be undergoing some sort of transformation, and can be seen writhing around in the air before...well, we're not really sure what happens.

We have a feeling this is probably related to Jane becoming the Mighty Thor, though it's worth noting here that Portman's take on the character doesn't resemble the sickly Jane in Jason Aaron's comic book run. That doesn't mean the cancer storyline won't be adapted, but the God of Thunder's old flame certainly doesn't look like someone who is dying (at least not at this point in the story).

Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie has also been spotted, and she's "suited up" in a literal suit that's not too different from the one we saw her don alongside Chris Hemsworth in Men in Black: International.

The reason for that is unclear, but she can be seen riding one of Thor's mythical goats in this sequence. It could, however, also be her horse; it's hard to say as those aren't the clearest of shots. As always, photos like these are taken out of context, so trying to figure out what they mean isn't easy. However, it's fun to speculate, and you can see more by heading over to Mail Online.

@L0RDbuckethead - Wonder if Natalie will eventually shave her head. She did it for V For Vendetta

@dracula - I think she will, she seems to be good about stuff like that. I have when people take roles, but don't want to fully embody the character...although I do love Gene.

I really don't get the logic of calling her king. Isn't queen empowering at all? What would the queen of England think? She doesn't seem to have an issue with that title.

@Origame - I agree. No need to use the male word to be feminist, quite the opposite

@Polaris - exactly.

@newhire13 - but why? It's just a needless confusion. One that honestly just seems like set up for some fake virtue signaling. "You think a woman can't be king?"

@Origame - 2021 has changed that too now

@Origame - It’s really not though. She’s King because she took the title of King. It’s a title. It’s her’s. That’s it. Looks like the people of Asgard, including Thor, don’t think twice about it because they aren’t hung up on something that’s not as big a deal as you’re making it out to be.

@newhire13 - I'm not getting hung up on it. Its a simple question. One that's clearly only implacable for behind the scenes reasons.

Origame

@newhire13 - more like she's king because that's what she makes you call her afterward, given the attitude you've been having to a simple f@#$ing question.

Wonder how big Thor's role is going to be, he went to space in Endgame and this is going to be Jane's origin, and seems like it wills spend time in earth asgard, not like they have a bifrost to take them to Thor

@dracula - I’d be annoyed if Thor is a side character in his own damn film 😂

@dracula - I wouldn't be surprised if the Jane's and Thor's are seperate until the third act. Waititi said Jane is as much the protagonist as Thor is if I recall correctly

Tessa shooting Men In Black, she should be a Queen not King.

Don't like Portman as Jane Foster,so not interested in second rate Thor.

But I am looking for to see the three Chris (Thor,Gorr and Star-Lord) and the rest of The Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Now surprise me with....

Hey remember when Ragnarok came out and people comisiones Valkyries suit looked bad and mor comic accurate but others said "she wears armor later on" and then she did wear armor and it looked even less like Valkyries comic book look?
