STUMPTOWN: Cobie Smulders-Led Series Renewed For A Second Season At ABC

ABC has renewed thirteen shows for the 2020/2021 television season, including Stumptown, their critically acclaimed live-action adaptation of the Greg Rucka comic series starring Cobie Smulders...

ABC announced this afternoon that it has issued new season renewals for thirteen series, including Stumptown (season two), The Rookie (season three), mixed-ish (season two), black-ish (season seven), The Conners (season three), American Housewife (season five), The Goldbergs (season eight), A Million Little Things (season three), The Bachelor (season 25), Dancing with the Stars (season 29), Shark Tank (season 12), 20/20 (season 43), and Jimmy Kimmel's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire reboot (season two).

These shows join the already renewed Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, The Good Doctor, American Idol, and America's Funniest Home Videos; as well as new series Big SkyCall Your Mother, and Supermarket Sweep to make up the network's fall schedule.

They've also confirmed the cancellations of Emergence, Single Parents, Schooled, Bless This Mess, and Kids Say the Darndest Things. For Life and The Baker and the Beauty remain on the bubble for now, but expect a decision on those titles in the coming weeks/months.

Stumptown is based on Greg Rucka's graphic novel series of the same name and follows Dex Parios, a strong, assertive and sharp-witted Army veteran who has a complicated love life, gambling debt and a brother to take care of in Portland, Ore. Her military intelligence skills make her a great private investigator, but her brash, unapologetic style puts her in a league of her own, landing her in the firing line of hardcore criminals while not quite in alliance with the rules and objectives of the local police.
